Damn dude! Your playing has improved by leaps and bounds! Well done! Those Mp-1 tones, brings back memories...the whole thing, very nostalgic.....sounds great man! Wish I still had my MP-1s, should have never sold them...80's in a box. Keep it up man, always enjoy your music!
Agreed,
leaps and bounds, that was killer

Writes some good tunes too!

Miss my old MP-1s....here's a pic of my old mp-1 rig:

Great setup! Why did you get rid of it all? Just got outdated?

I didn't get rid of all of it, still have the rack, abcadabra and the furman   You know how it is, chasing tone, upgrading/trading up...shit dies and gets worn out. That picture is 15 years old, but 95% the rig was older than that. Nothing ever happens overnight....a long quest of building and buying/trading/selling one thing at a time to get it to where it is now. There have been many different versions of my rig since that time....a lot of gear came and went. My rig is perfect now, I literally want nothing new as far as guitar gear is concerned and it took decades to get it where I have it now......actually I'm more into adding to my synth setup these days(play keys too)

This made me want to hunt down an ADA unit... the few that are out there are expensive again. Heard some really good clips of the pedal version ADA did but they also want over 400$ for that. No thanks.. i would pull the trigger on a used rack for 2-300 though. At least it has tubes.

I feel ya! I just added a Midiverb to the ADA for some "of the era" reverbs etc. Works really well!

A perfect rig? Does that happen? Has GAS not set in since?
I'm the same with my JMP-1 rig but today I bought a power conditioner for it as I'm running out of things to do with it! haha

That's cool, what synths do you run? I've got a Virus TI and a Roland JV-1080 and I love the Roland. It's just pure cheese

Have you had one before? You should defo do it! It's a cheap way to get a good hot rodded marshal sound and it's a valve amp! I think the gap in the market was the shred dudes wanted to play without lugging a JCM 800 head around and get a similar tone... they kind of ruined that when Bob Bradshaw started making racks excessively big and awsome haha

Never played one no, would love to get one if i could do so on the cheap!

Sounds great as ever and by the way - I put loads of my rock-loving mates onto the Vacation South EP and we all love it, can't wait for more!

That sounds great! Fantastic playing too.

Fuck, yet another item on my radar now.

Great job. I liked it a lot. What was your chain? Were you using a tube power amp or running into a sound card/interface?

Love me some ADA MP-1. One of my all-time favorite pieces. I have to stop myself from buying one about once or twice a year.

Sadly as I live in an apartment I can't crank anything. But I did try running it through my EL84 20/20 and it sounded great! I took an out from the ADA and pumped it into some Cab impulses in my DAW, think it was a pretty stock Marshall cab I used close mic'd with a SM57. I found alot of the ADAs punch was gone but still got a good idea of what it can do

Need to get myself a Cab Sim or Iso box
