Some crappy video from last weekends show but figured I'd post it anyway. SATO, Snowblind and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.

Excellent playing as usual. The AX8, in all its digital amp & digital cab IR glory, is killing it live & cutting thru the mix as good or better than any tube amp.............

To all you "only tubes can cut it live" diehards.......how's this even possible :dunno:

SATO is one of my favorite Ozzy/Randy songs. Well fucking done!!!

Lmao! Thanks man. I'm really digging it. I've started using 2 XiTone 1x12 wedges in stereo as back line 1 on each side of the stage. Sounds really good. Not missing any kind of "amp feel" on stage. Those things sound great.

Victim makes a great case for using any modeller live, no question! Fantastic band and a great sound man also don't hurt. Well done as always!

Nothing wrong with using one. For some it works, for others it doesn't. That is the beauty of playing live. Run with what you are comfortable with, have fun and enjoy the music.

Great playing! Love to hear your vids.

How are you liking the ease of transporting this new rig?

Sounds brilliant, very authentic tone and playing of course!

The videos sound great but I wouldn't go that far. Brad Gillis on Speak Of The Devil with Mesa IIB's sounded incredible and that was in the 80's..

I'm digging it. Especially for out of town shows. Pedalboard, XiTone wedge and a few guitars. I'm bringing 2 XiTone wedges for my local shows. One on each side of the stage for my back line. I had back surgery 2 years ago so this is ideal for me to extend my gigging several more years. I'm not missing my amps at all. But having quality FRFR really helps. I'm using my XiTones in stereo just like I did with my halfstacks so it sounds the same to me. I could never turn them up at all. Sound guys would always bitch. The wedges are great since they shoot up at an angle.

It sounds great. I tried to love the axe8 for a week but it had this weird pause or something when I would switch sounds. I couldn't find how to avoid that and when I was demoing some amps, the guy who owned the amps offered me what I paid for it so I moved it. If they get the pause remedied, I'll definitely grab another. I don't know how you tap dance around that live but I commend you for dealing with it. I read that the axe fx has the extra amp blocks and doesn't have the gap when switching. I loved the axe8 quick knobs for the amps. They seemed very handy for tweaking. So many options inside these for tweaking. They do sound good in my opinion and you make them sound great as well. You have a killer band, great job

Yep, the slight pause when switching from high gain to my clean was annoying. It's because your switching from the X/Y state of two amps. With the Axe-FX you can have two amp blocks so when you change scenes your turning one off and on not changing the state of one amp to another which causes the 1/8 second gap. But there is a workaround. What I did was set a modifier on the input gain parameter in the amp block. So when I switch to my clean sound I have the modifier change the input gain lower so that it's now clean. No audio gap. Works perfect. As far as tap dancing there is none. I have every thing pre programmed in Scenes. I hit one button and it changes everything. One button for my rhythm, one for my clean and one for my leads. I have it setup just like my tube amp and G-System rig. One button push control for everything. it's awesome.
