Been writing some jams in standard which is a cool tuning. Anyways heres a track done through my 5150 III.

Cheers braddas,
Kyle

Screw the amp....how did you record that?

You have some serious recording chops, bro.

You get 5/5

Just mic to preamp and hipass and lopass haha. Thanks for the kind words. Oh and might I add I used an sm58 rather than my 57 bc my 57 just was not jiving well this go round.

what pre amp?

which daw?

cheers!

oh yeah, what interface?

Logic Pro for DAW and Presonus Firepod for Micpre and interface.

Just curious, at what values do you set the lo and hi pass filters.

Dug it a lot,
It reminded me a tiny bit of Suicidal Tendencies

lopass at 12k and hipass at 80hz

Thanks for the info. I've been setting my hipass at 130. I haven't been setting a lopass...may have to try that. :)

Oh yeah, which channel did you have the 5150 III on?

Sounds really really good. Your playing is excellent!

I hear a bit of Killswitch influence (intended or otherwise I guess) in the verse with the staccato going on.

More please.

For the life of me, I can't get guitar sounds that fat.... I think it's a mic placement thing for me...

That sounds fantastic! I can hear a lot of power metal potential in there too, but maybe because I love it too much.

I need to find people who play music like this to start a band. Too many people around here want to play too generic of metal with, like others stated, lame-ass growl/scream vocals.
