And that is bad why? I prefer this over the BE100 any day!!

I thought Sykes used Mesa Mk III and modded Marshalls for his classic recorded tones of the late 80s.projectx102":1onsocqq said:John Sykes pulled some monster tone out of a Mesa.Just saying. I would be happy with that tone any day.

I respectfully disagree. I currently have a CCV and have owned a IIC+. The sound very close to me.

Thanks man![]()
I can record a full review, it's just hard to capture all the tones because it's so tweakable.
let me know what you want to hear and see![]()

Alex I just wanted to know where I can find all info about this amp, like how many channels it has, the tubes that it use, all that push/pull options, etc.
I'll love to hear a lead channel if it has!!
For my ears that amp really rock![]()

Maybe the "unharmonic" observation comes from the fact that SM57's will impart a scoopiness or flavour on the tone that is not to everyone's liking depending on how they are placed. Was it recorded with a 57 just of axis?
Yup, SM57 probably close to center but I would have to check.
The CCV has it's on personality to your point.![]()
Actually that isn't true. The Solo Master just replaces the normal channel master and the three way switch on the regular master is not active when the solo master is active. Only the solo master 3 way switch is active then. What I'm saying is if you set the regular channel master and the solo master to the same three way setting and set each to the same volume setting, they will sound exactly the same if you switch back and forth. There is no "cumulative" effect...rockinchippy":1lwsdcpb said:adrianher":1lwsdcpb said:I'll love to hear a lead channel if it has!!
It has a Solo boost option with a separate Master Volume which is footswitchable. However, the Solo Boost also has a 3-way switch which is cumulative so it will push your highest gain setting even further.
