Going for a see-thru black MII with a 5A flamed maple top from ESP. Here is a photoshop rendering of what is being built...

Here are a couple of pics from the shop in Tokyo, Japan of the process so far. Hope you enjoy. The guys are at 7 months and I'd imagine the top will finish with the KH-20 in appearance. Here are a few specs.

5A flamed maple drop top ESP MII
25.5 scale length
DiMarzio X2N (b), Evolution (n)
Hannes bridge
scalloped frets 12-24
Alder body, maple drop top, maple neck, matching reversed headstock, ebony fretboard
Controls are 1 volume, 1 3-way switch, 1 killswitch

that looks great!
I've sold a lot of guitars and the only one I regret is my M-II..it wasn't even a custom shop model but It could hand with all my custom shops....
Let us know how long the process takes....last I heard was that it was getting ridiculous, around 2 years or so supposedly.

Thanks xzy!!!

I was told to expect a few delay's since this year is ESP's 40th Anny and this recent NAMM event slowed the custom shop down a little bit. This particular MII I ordered back in September so I'm guessing a year's wait time depending on specs but I will definitely let you guys know how it goes until delivery.

Wow, that is really nice. Everyone should have wood like that!

Oh man.....that is one great looking guitar.
ESP has always been my favorite guitar company. Keep us posted on the updates!!

Thanks fellas! I'm just really nervous hoping everything turns out ok.

It is on its way to me! Here are a few pics.

How much did this run you?

About the same as a custom Suhr with the exotic woods. The 5A drop top on the ESP drove the price up a lot. In the end the build took 1 year and was $4,500. The price actually came down because the American dollar rose in value the last couple of months.

What do you guys think of that deep dish input jack?
