Something is fishy...item sold on Ebay and Reverb at same ti

Have an amp on both site. I get an ebay notice it sold. Within minutes it sells on Reverb. Payment is then made via the Reverb order and I get the notification from PayPal of payment received.
Next I get a message through Reverb from the buyer stating who he is and what his address is and that he tried to buy on Ebay but someone there has the same name but is in Georgia (he is in Texas) and payment wouldn't go through.
Something feels off but I did get payment. Should I be concerned? What is the possible scam here?
 
Sounds off although I would think youd be safe through reverb, it seems like they take care of shady business quick and proper.
 
Nope. Too coincidental. I’d refund, apologize, block, and re-list.
