Not sure if he will like it, but that distortion reminds me a lil of @Simon Dorn 's sound.
guess down tuned guitar with thick strings, EMG81 and boosted JCM800 is what i am hearing.
swamp the EVM12L for the G12K-100, scoop the mids, bit more thump, and it would be pretty close.

I actually dig the rhythm tones on this track. Reminds me a bit of the JVM OD2 red mode. Its definitely a boosted JCM. The thickness is nice, but it's just a touch too scooped and a bit dark. Bit very solid overall.
