So I just got a quad of Tungsol 6550's in and I noticed that they look almost identical in construction. Are they basically the same tube? They sound different, but it could be my ears hearing what they want to hear.

Hello...if you just got a quad of Tungsol 6550's they're probably identical in construction.

Whoops, I meant to put in comparison to the Sovtek KT88. I'd hope the Tungsols would be identical in construction!

Anybody have any input on this? I'd also like to hear your guys' impressions on the Tungsol 6550's, if anybody has used them.
