Speaker Authenticity Check

Single G12H T1534 made March 1972 (CE stamp). The T1534 speaker is exactly the same speaker as the T1281 model used by Marshall. Dr.decibel at celestion has confirmed this to me himself. T1281 is on their files as being the speaker with the Marshall label, T1534 is the same speaker but with the standard celestion label (usually used by other amp makers such as Simms-Watts and HH etc).

T1534 is by definition a 16 ohm 55c/s bass res G12H model. Now, sometimes Celestion did put 75hz labels on bass models, either by accident or maybe when they ran out of labels, although that was usually earlier than 1972 (not always!). But early T1534s often say 75 hz bass resonance on the gold label (incorrect), maybe these do too. OTOH, lots of '70s T1534 do say "55 hz" (and some don't have labels at all!).

IMO those are excellent speakers for guitar, noted for their power and smooth overdrive. Definitely in demand these days.
