Speaker/Cab opinions with 5150 III

So im gigging with my 100 watt 5153... and I dig it.. especially at the price point. I originally had the Bogner OS 2x12 loaded with v30's paired with the 5153... sounded good... Now I picked up the matching EVH 2x12 loaded with G12H30's... Sounds good as well. Thinking of putting the G12H's in my Bogner 2x12 since it's a bigger and beefier 2x12.... Anyone played the 5153 thru a G12H loaded cab that 'wasn't' the evh 2x12?? I think this amp likes the G12's better... wondering if it would be worth my time to put those speakers in my Bog 2x12. The EVH 2x12 just looks so little on stage ...and this is Rock n Roll

I have the 4x12. Everyone for the most part agrees that it is the best match for either the 50 or 100. Unfortunately I picked the cab up after I had sold the 50 that I had. I may try another 50 watt in a trade here shortly..lol

Matching 4x12 here also..I did try the head out with a marshall 1960 cab. Sounded good. I imagine the marshall 2x12 1936 cab should sound the same. And it's a little bigger!

I wish there was a oversized EVH 2x12. I think that would look sick!

The only thing you can do it swap it out and see how it sounds for yourself.

Some cabs just sound better with certain speakers than a different cab.

My thoughts:

Hook them both up and enjoy the tonal bliss. (After you swap speakers and test all possible options of course )

My 100 watt 5153 sounds best with a 412 cab.

I'd love to run both of em... but my Bogner is 8ohms and the EVH 2x12 is 16ohms.

Just not an option with my travel/transport needs... Ive got an empty avatar 4x12 just sitting here I could put an x pattern of v30's/G12H's if I wanted... it's just not possible for my vehicle and gig needs.

The EVH 412 is the best cab I've ever heard in my life. I want to try it with my Marshall JVM 410HJS someday, I'm so tired of the Marshall 1960 cab. But the voicing of the EVH cab with the 5150iii is absolutely perfect.

Another vote for the EVH 4x12. By far the best sounding cab with that amp.

I currently have 2 evh 412s and owned an evh 212 for a time. I loved the 212 and thought it was surprisingly beefy. But the 412 is better imo. If weight is an issue, the 412 is on the light side for a 412 I think. If it's a size matter then I guess it does matter.

V30s and h30s together is a common and liked pairing, can you use both cabs together or does the size/space issue come into play? I'd use those cabs together before I'd put all 4 speakers in an avatar and use that.

Yeah, im not gonna use the avatar... I'd use both cabs but the bogner is 8ohm (2 16ohm v30s in parallel) and the evh 2x12 is 16ohm (2 8ohm g12h's in series... so really don't think I can run them together. I may have a lead on a evh 4x12... tho I'd have to sell both my 2x12's if I went the evh 4x12 route.

Since I really don't have the funds for a 4x12 at the moment (some1 buy my custom shop charvel!)... Im gonna throw the G12H30's in my Bogner os 2x12 and see how the 5153 gets along with it. It sounds good with the evh 2x12 but hoping to get a bit more oomph and projection with the Bogner.
