Speaker cones and screwdrivers...

Damn I hate front loaded speaker cabs. Installing speakers is a PITA when the back of the cab is sealed.

Anyway I managed to slip my screwdriver into the outer edge of the cone but not enough to make a hole. Just a very small indent.

Sounds fine, but just wondering what if anything could this degrade the speaker?
 
Should be fine. I have dropped a screwdriver through the cone of two speakers over the years. Quite aggravating.
 
Lol...I thought you were talking about something like below. It's an EV 12L from a Mark IIC+ combo I recently got. Looks like someone intentionally took an icepick to it. The one in my Mark IV sounds much better.

It looks like the dust cover got pushed in and some dipshit poked holes in it to pop it out. It’ll do they know you can pop them out easily with some tape.

Yeah, I considered that (you can see the creases) but then I thought I'd rather have it pushed in than have holes in it. I usually slave it into the Mark IV anyway.
