i'm going to try some of the Neo magnet Lil Texas Heats, mixed with some B&C Neo Mid Bass speakers. the B&C is a wild hair thing, but some drop tune metal guys have tried them and the reports are good?


FYI, my go to speakers for big mean amps = Eminence Governors mixed with Swamp Thangs.

I think the v30s sound fuller for the 440 and half step clips but I think the Heats sound swanky in D, B as well if the guitar was louder?

I could see liking the Heats in a band context live, would have to hear it.

I'm definitely with everyone on the V30's. My bones loves em! I also am thinking a good marshall 1960 cab is hard to beat with the right speakers. I've been using a VHT FB w/v30's but it actually sounds incredible through my 1960 with the x pattern V30's /75's. Still tight as fuck but just has a tiny bit of sag. That gives it a little extra chunk over the VHT.

There's no such thing as polished studio tone. It's all at the source, and minor eq/mic blending. It's knowing what you're looking for before you stick the microphone on the cab.

That cabinet was the larger issue. It sounded bad. Guess why I don't own it anymore
