!Hey Crew.

I have a Diezel 2x12 loaded with a 65 creamback and vintage 30. My 4x12 has Celestion(s) 75 and 30's in an X pattern. Both cabs seem to be mid heavy. I can dial it out but you still notice the presence of it. Is there a speaker(s) that eliminate the need to work the dial to pull the mids? To note, all the speakers are rated at 16 ohms. Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from you.

Amp is a Diezel VH4

Scumback M75 or H75's
I have three Diezel cabs, two are V30 rear loaded.
Same thing as you say,mid heavy.

So,I have 3 other 4x12 cabs,2 are Scumback loaded.
It's like lifting a blanket off the cab.

Soon as the holidays are over,I'll replace ALL of those V30's with H75's

I noticed the same thing with 65's and already mid-heavy amplifiers (cough 5150).

There is a thread involving scumback explaining G12 65's and the history of that tonality on this forum. I remember it quite well.

I recommend H75's from scumback.

Honestly, the least mid heavy speakers i can think of are the G12T-75's. Lots of bass and treble, but scooped mids. Should fix any mid honk issues you're having.

agreed!

The G12K100 comes to mind, but, personally I hate its harsh high end.

I just got a Cameron cab with h30s. Great creamy mids without the honk.

this, well the original G85's ....... I don't find a harsh high end (although I like bite so it might be there). To me they are a very neutral speaker that really let the amps tone shine not the speaker

Hey Crew!

Thanks for all the responses. It is so challenging to take the head and bounce from Store to Store to try out cabs. Nonetheless, all great suggestions here. If anyone (I know it is subjective) has clips with a 4 and some of the above mentioned speakers that would be greatly appreciated.
