A buddy of mine has two G12H-30's that I was thinking about getting to mix with the G12T-75's in a 1960A. I've heard this combo before and I think I remember liking it. I'll be running some sort of modded marshall through the cab or a 5150 iii 50 watter. Depends on what I feel like dragging out on a particular night.

I have 75 in an X pattern with V30s. I like it a whole lot.

I was going to go that route originally. I can get an awesome deal on the G12H-30's so that's why I'm looking for opinions.

Either V30's x T75's or ditch the T75's go with V30's x G12H's

I have T75s with both V30s and Greenbacks in 2 different 4x12s
People don't always think about that combo, but they balance out really well

Cannot stand the T-75's being produced by Celestion these days. Anybody could kick those speakers from here to ________ and I would have no problem with it. Speakers are amp dependent of course, but try the V30/G12H30 combination. Cannot remember if it was a Heritage or 70thAnniv I tried with that combo in a 2x12.

i have the older 75's. i like them. they sound good with just about anything.
they are x patterned with g12h100's.

i had a 75 and an old vintage 30 in my rivera 2x12 cab and it sounded phenomenal.

something to consider too, the WGS 30 is a bit bigger and more open sounding compared to the other v30 in this vid.

i want a set of them.

I have two Vet30's and two Vin30's in the same cab and they don't sound nearly as far apart as Fluff's video shows.
The Vet30 is smoother and darker. It has less high mids, less presence and fatter lows. The V30 voice is still there though.
Fluffs vid makes it sound like we are hearing a Heritage Greenback compared to a Celestion 70/80. Polar opposites.

yeah man, that's what got me thinking about the vet30....it sounded so much more open to my ears...

Not the case then?

Said it a lot here, but my i had a quad of vet30s in a 4x12 and it was too soft on the attack for me. Didn't cut in a band situation like I was used to with v30s. Swapped out 2 vets for 2 v30s and got that bite back.

75's sound pretty good with greenbacks.
This ^^^

I don't like regular or heritage greenbacks by themselves unless it's a really bright amp, but the 75s give it some top end crunch and loads of bottom end so they make up for what the Greenbacks are usually lacking.

Yeah they are open sounding compared to the Vin30 because the Vin30 has that high mid wash over it that dominates it's tone. So it essentially traps your tone with that. Hard to dial out. That's why some love it and some hate it.

I think the g12t 75s are rad in a quad, paired with a top cab of v30s and stand across the room. Blends nicely

I like then with greenbacks or v30s. Not big on the H30s.
