Ok so yeah. I had this cab since Tuesday and maybe it's too soon but if fucking ROCKS and I can't say enough about it.
So here's a brief synopsis.
Fit and finish:
Fucking fantastic. Better than my Mojotone. Not that the mojotone is a bad cab, it's not. It's a really nice cab IMO, but the Splawn has cleaner tolex work and nice hardware. Just a superbly built cab.
Sound:
I've never heard the QR sound better than with this cab and the SB25's. The speakers have some characteristics of the greenbacks, but they're much tighter and thus more modern-sounding. That said, they have a warm and pleasant tone. The SB25's are smoother with less hair than my GB Reissues. With this in mind, the cab sounds good with the SL and Budda but it doesn't rule as hard as it does with the QR and rightly so. Scott tuned the cab to his amps. The SL sounds nice with it, but it loses the traditional Marshall + GB tone and becomes somewhat too modern and aggressive for my liking. Again, it's a good sound, just not what I want the SL to sound like. Similar situation with the Budda SD80. Those 2 seem to need a more vintage speaker.

Right now I'm playing the QR with the SDE 1000 in the loop and I'm super pleased...
So there...

Nice!! I am going very soon to get qr and matching cab with sb25's very soon. And I have heard only good things about the splawn cabs. I did get to play one and liked it but don't know what speakers were in it.

Yup.. same here. Uniformly great reviews of both the cab and speakers. I had Private Jacks years ago and I didn't like them so I was a bit leary of the SB25's because they're made by Eminence. But these things rock.

Yeah I know what you mean about the emi's,but I have 2 fl deizel cabs with them in from diezel. I didn't care for them with my diezel heads but love them with my 65 and 20th anni shiva.

Dude, I was just about to pm you and ask how you liked the cab   Glad to gear you like it, I figured it'd be a great sounding cab

I remember my PJ's having some weird break-in shit happening. They were great, then they were harsh then they got mushy... Maybe my ears were playing tricks on me and I was blaming the speakers.

Yeah it's a real kick-ass cab.

told you it would have a more solid low end and still keep GB character :D

yes it is a more modern edge, but i like it IMHO, with a 5150 you can imagine the tones i was capable of pulling from them vrad.

i want two all black splawn cabinets with the SB25's, i love that speaker, and his cabinets are rock solid and dont cost $1,000 unloaded

splawn cabs kick ass, i have one and i love it.
How's it compare to the Uberkab?

It has a bit more low end and smoother high end. I've played them side by side using the titan.

The splawn 412 is built so well cheap generic speakers sound amazing through it. Not many cabs can pull that off. I love mine. It beats my legacy 412 into a pulp.

I've compared it side by side with orange and diezel as well and it's got a warmer smoother sound than those. The diezel cab is like the mesas in that it's very dry and agressive in the upper end. I think the splawn compares mostly to the bogner xtc cab but I still think that it's smoother than the xtc cab.

I think a mills cab may be the only cab I'd rather use but I would want to play them side by side. for half the cost of a mills cab though.... that extra small bit of possible better sound sure does cost a pretty penny.

Yeah it definitely has a GB vibe to it.
Well the QR is my 'modern' rig if you will. So this cab fits the bill perfectly. I'm sure with a 5150 it would sound tremendous thru this cab. Yeah I know. Kudos to Scott for making such a terrific cab at a fair price.
