So to of my buddies on here have them... swear upside down there is more sat/gain/sag on these new ones....
ive owned several nitros but always wanting to break the gain knob n get another spin on it..
they are built amazing that was never my issue. I have never owned a quickrod, but along with art n vince telling me way better i saw this video n shit!

looking for devildriver, killswitch engage testament out of it

You have said that you hate Splawns and have had a bunch.New ones still sound like a Splawn so I think your not going to like it.The B option is just going to make it saggier.

i don't own the new one but I have had the nitro and the QR and they are 2 completely different heads

You want more saturation out of a Nitro???

I never run my EL34 Nitro past one o'clock... When it had KT88'S, never past 9 o'clock... If you're not getting enough saturation out of a Nitro something may be wrong with it -- have it checked.

I had 3 nitros. They were all the same. Diff tubes. El34, kt88 n kt77. It's like they never had enuff gain or sat on tap. I'm used to Herbert. But now I'm told the quickrod is way better than before. N quickrod is diff than nitro.
Never owned a quickrod !

I would love to see an "in room" comparison showing both versions of the QR playing the same riffs. I am having trouble deciding between the 2 versions.

If you want more saturation than a Nitro, and like the Herbert do not buy a Quick Rod, not even the B+ option.

+1
Get a 6505 or something along that vein if you need that much saturation. A Splawn will be tight, dry, and open.

I'm actually borrowing a b+ quickrod tonight.

I bet you break the gain knob off it trying to turn it to 11

Have you been through the Engl's, or a Framus Cobra?

Peters?

Well I borrowed it. Took it to the studio n found out I just don't gel with splawn amps.

Yes owned a Framus cobra.

Looking hard at the dv mark triple 6 . I want to fill the gap of evh n Herbert w a Grindy Mesa kinda tone ! Without dropping 4 grand.

Ok so please explain. Are these all QR's? What are the differences in each model?

Yes all Quick Rods. A 2005 that I got in trade from Rian (crownedblasphemy), a 2010 because I wanted one with the MV in the loop, a 2012 that I just got for the slightly more saturated, darker tones and a 2006 which belongs to a band mate. Took the pic because I'm selling the 2010 and 4 QR's in one room was just too good to pass up.
