Well I borrowed it. Took it to the studio n found out I just don't gel with splawn amps.

Perhaps you should look into bass...

Bass? Why is that because the splawn amps are dry n sterile to me. Funny how one person swears by an amp n the next guy hates it. Thank God splawn ain't the only amps available !

The solution to your problem is simple. Use a good boost in front. If thats not enough gain ot saturation then you should definitely get a different amp

Naw my solution is give it back to art n buy a Mesa Boogie triple recto.

YEah man....you need to check out a FJA modded Recto. I am pretty sure it will give you all and more that your looking for.
We like the same style of music and mine is going with me to my grave.
And yes....owned a Herbert and splawns...and Marshalls....and yadda yadda...
Pretty cheap too for this amp overall. Crushing machine for sure.

Cujo why the need for all the gain and saturation, the Thompson Twins never needed that much gain ????

the B+ is a bit of a mystery
I played the regular QR in a studio last year and it was great with the settings I was given to noodle with
So much so that it is on my GAS list for this year
Once more clips of the B+ come along I'll be able to decide which one to go for

I don't know why they just don't make it switchable. Mesa does it.
