hi Everyone,
I have a Splawn Nitro and a pedal board. I wanted to see if there's any multi-effects Floor or rack mount units that can be used to change channels on the Splawn Nitro.

I know there's the Voodoo Lab Control Switcher, but wasnt sure if there was any units out there that have something similar built in.

Thanks,

Bashar!!! Where the fuck have you been brother?? how are ya?

I have a KT88 Nitro. I LOVE that fucker. Do you have the EL34 or the KT88?

The HX Effects from Line 6 does midi and 1/4 inch relay amp switching. I thing you’d need an adapter from Splawn though.

oh man.. where do I start? LOL. lets just say Life and kids happened. haha. I am doing great thanks. Didn't play or pickup my guitars for many years. Now I am getting back into it more and more, looking to get back to jamming with a band and doing some gigging here and there every now and then.

But looking to get my Splawn back out of storage unit that its been in for 6-7 years now :-(. Looking to chance my setup a bit.

How you been? still playing?

I have EL34s in there. The Splawn is full of Lows and punch, and I wanted that powertube drive. I tried KT88s and they were a bit too much clean headroom. Even when I used it, I put it on 50watts mode... with the odd time of putting it on 100watts, cranking the sucker and shaking the jam studios building. haha

I'll have to retube the amp at some point and may look into the EL34BSTR or E34Ls.

Cheers

I looked at the HX Effect, i didnt see an amp control button or jack.

I was even looking at the FCB1010 controller from Behringer since it has 2 Amp Control jacks and perhaps something like the Rocktron Intellifex or Replifex. OR even the Voodoo Labs Midi Control switcher. I emailed Voodoo Labs asking if it would work with the setup of the Splawn. Waiting to hear back.

I'd like to look at a Floor Multi-effects solution if possible, this way everything is at my Foot. Keeps the floor clean too. :-)

The 1/4” outs work for amp switching. You just change the behavior of the output. Super simple.

I use an RJM Mini Amp Gizmo to control the channel switching, gear switching and boost feature on my 2005 QuickRod. I'm currently using a Musicom Labs EFX-III switcher with my pedalboard. If I wasn't using the switch features on the EFX to tun one and off the patches on my timeline and mobius, I would have used them to control the amp. I do really like the Mini Amp Gizmo, as it doesn't matter what amp I use, they make a cable for it. I was previously using it to change channels on my EVH 5153.

I'm good man, Don't play a whole lot these days, and when I do it's usually Bass.... been real into photography lately, and enjoying that, but still hang here on occasion, wondered what happened to ya, haven't seen ya around in a good long time. glad to hear your doing well.

Glad to hear you're doing well... and thanks for the message. I am honestly surprised anyone remembers me at all. LOL.

Not sure how many of the old crowd still hangs here.

Anyone knows of Lonnie Totman still hangs here?

I had a Line 6 HX effects that is supposed to switch amp channels. Never could get it to work right with my Splawn. Just hummed like a bitch. The Voodoo Labs channel switcher worked great.

Great. Thank you. Is the programming of it to perform such tasks like Channel switching, engaging Solo.. a complicated process?

No. Simple actually. It's been a while but basically you hold in a preset button to save the state the amp is currently in and it saves it to that preset.

Decibel 11 switch Dr, 128 presets which include midi pc, 3 available function switches, 4 effects pedal loops and a buffer if needed. Smaller footprint than the voodoo, ivr used one for years with a Friedman/Bogner an H9 and various pedals. Works great at one point they were $129. Not sure if your looking for the effects built in like the helix or FX8 or just the control part of it. Happy Hunting

So do I sorta go back and forth between the Splawn footswitch and the Voodoo. Connect the footswitch, set the amp channel, disconnect the switch and connect the Voodoo. select the button, save the state and repeat?

Thanks
