Do they suck or is it me? The tuner buttons keep coming loose. then I tighten them and then the buttons split. There seems to be a lot of play in the button/shaft as well.

Never had that issue with Sperzels. The only issue I had one time is that the locking wheel on the back would come loose on the thick E string, but as the guitar has a locking nut, it was a non issue...

I've never had that issue either. But it is cool that they are reversible! My last Carvin came with their house brand locking tuners, which I liked much better. Better feel to them.

I've always used schallers but recently put sperzels on a strat build. I think I like the schallers better but haven't had any issues with the sperzels. I only used them because I heard that's what Suhr puts on his builds so I thought they had to be really good ;)

I've had Sperzels on lots of guitars and never had a problem with them.

Of course, it's just me with a problem. The problem is the black pearl sprezel tuners I ordered. They just don't fit right, come loose, I torque them down and they split. Gonna have to find some metal button ones or throw them in the fucking trash.

just call the company. I'm sure they'll work something out with you. I've been to the shop and they're all very cool people

Never had issues with them on my Carvins. Still own one Carvin and no issues!!!

They are cool. They're gonna send me out a set of new buttons.
