SPX90 in the serial loop..help me

I' m ending a bid to buy an old SPX90, but i have a doubt: I want to put the spx90 (only for the modulation) in the loop of my evh5150III in serial and before going into the RJM mixer to use a Lexicon MPX1 (in parallel) for the echo and delays.
You think this routing should be good to have 80's sound like Luke or Dan Huff??
