SS rec plug swap—is rebias needed?

There are soooo many ’experts’ on the internet that I cannot find a definitive answer to this question. Just got a Twin Sister and I love it, but I’ve read that many users prefer a SS rec in the amp. I have the plug linked below and wanted to try it with the TS but not if it will hurt the amp in any way—am I safe to plug and play w/out a rebias?

I think your ok, I did it in a jtm 45 and a bogner metropolis and never rebiased the jtm the bogner was EL 84 fixed bias

You should be fine but it doesn’t hurt to check. I didn’t need to on mine. If you’re looking to just tighten the bottom a little they’re perfect.

I've been curious about this on my DS40 so I just tried it....

At 120V, Tube to SS rectifier. Plate went from 453 to 467. Bias current from 41 to 48.
