Anyone else like two boosts better then one?

I like running the EP-Pre into an RC Booster. I dig how the guitar's volume reacts with them both on.

I made a little clip. Starts off with the guitar rolled back quite a bit.
Don't know if you can hear how nice it feels with the volume rolled back.

cool tone - sounds like it stays nice and jangly with the volume rolled back. What geetar and pickups?

I definitely like stacking boosts for solos, great way to really focus the sound and really stand out, then go back to one for rhythms.

Tube Screamer into BOSS SD-1... some of the best tone I've ever heard... works with every amp I've tried.

basis for my tone for a while =)

i would stack a BB and a Mi audio bb deluxe, and later a cmatmods brownie into the fold

it always seemed to lack a little something as i'd be stacking two of them for rhythmic stuff, so since then i've been using a blackstar ht dual with the BB to boost it for a bit more juice for lead lines/vol. boost which works very well,

i have a lovepedal kalamazoo coming next week, really can't wait to try that out

Exactly! When rolling back on the guitar's volume, it still has a nice presence and it feels great.

That was a Wolfgang Special with stock pickups.

Landau is a chronic stacker!
Problem I find with using one pedal now...one pedal may add the aggression I like, but another pedal may add the sustain and thickness I like.

Smash 'em together and what have you got?

Unbearable noise? :D Joking...

One of the best tones I've ever heard in life was stacking ODs into the "clean" channel of the OD-100 a la Landau.

It takes the touch response to holy-shit levels. Even cleanish tones get so greasy and easy to play and you can hear everything...

Delicious.

Yep I've done it.

I also like stacking a boost with an EQ as well.

Ed Degenaro showed me that years ago at NAMM. I actually thought about it but never thought it would sound good but I was blown away by how cool it was. IIRC he had an emma Reza pedal and a fulltone fulldrive stacked and it sounded pretty sick

Care to share what amp you used this with and what your pedal settings were? I have a ts-10 and a sd-1 :D

Excellent! I give this tone a Five Chicken Head Rating.

Didn't know I had options, sorry. Been living under a rock lately. :scared:

Here's a clip I just did. It's a lead I wrote for our upcoming album.

Signal is modded Phase 90--> MXR Classic OD--> BB+ --> Carbon Copy into the recto's clean channel. I love stacking!

skip to :40

Why did I wait so long to try it?

It's great...I'm hooked.

Landau!

I definitely find it works best with headroom. The 2 pedals give me that sag/compression that cranking the amp would give.
If I can crank the amp up at a gig and get the power section cooking, the pedals aren't really needed...just too much maple syrup.

Ya, just a little dab from each will do ya. You can definitely go overboard and end up with a muddy mess. :D

Thanks! I actually should have kept the treble and the mid turned up a few more notches where I usually set them for gigging.
Works great with the band and for recording, but when I play on my own downstairs I find it too fatiguing.
