Incoming.

Yeah I wanted one, but geez, the price.

I wonder how much this Sterling version costs in Oz and how close the PU's are to the original. I seem to remember that they were DiMarzios.

Been messing wit it more setup wise. Guitar is responsive to everything ive done. If i have one grip its the bridge. I like the 2 point pivot and the baseplate design but the saddles could be better. Pickups are amazing as is the push / push 12db boost on the volume pot.
I had read on forums to stay away from the Sterling brands but never got details why. Ive seen Petrucci Sterlings and they seem cheaper.
I get the impression Luke insisted his LK 100 guitars have his personal touches.
This one's 7.6lbs. Sturdy. The roasted neck is a nice touch. Chunky & comfly no issues.
I'll play w/a Marshall when i get the chance. Cool guitar. I keep reaching for the G string on the other side of the headstock lol.
First Music Man / Sterling / Lukather product. Very nice for the price $$$.

Hey thanks for sharing your impressions Danno.

As for the advice you saw to "stay away from the Sterling brands", I don't know about guitars but I've heard many good things about the basses.

I'm guessing Ormsby Guitars are at a good price in AU?

Thanks brother. I've searched Luke, LK and Sterling but nothing comes up there.

Looks like they don't stock 'em. :dunno:

Ormsby is an AU brand that makes their own guitar designs; I like few models, haven't tried one...but they are reasonably priced, and probably even better in AU on prices?

Ah gotcha mate.

I assumed you were talking about a Sterling Luke 'cause you quoted and responded to this:

"Yeah I wanted one, but geez, the price.

apologies for the confusion. I'd guess the Sterling prices are similar in AU and US?
