i would have to agree that the 2013 gibsons are very, very, very good!

would love to try a couple of those famous replicas

Did try a Barnett in the past and it was very nice.

But i tell you, the new gibsons are pretty damn nice too.

especially now when we are starting to see a few on the used market.

There are some absolute steals on eBay right now for used 2013 R9's and the Collectors Choice R9's. That's about as good as it gets.

I haven't played the 2013 R7 or R8's. Past R8's I have owned had that big neck which didn't suit me. You can probably go over to MLP forums and have a look around for some advice on them.

Similar from what I remember. 59 maybe a little more rounded at the shoulders. Thickness about the same, a cunt hair less than an 1" at the 12th.

I'm sure i would dig a 59'. I remember wen i got my Goldtop with 60's neck it was awesome, then i got my Orville LPC and that neck is even slimmer.
I think the 57' & 58's are beautiful guitars but i just don't mesh with Baseball bat LP's.

That's sort of where I am at. I suffered through enough experimenting. Found the neck carve I like on the Gibby's and that's that.
