Kinda proceesed I know but some of his leads are great and the tone seems to work really well for what he does. Anyone know what his current rig is?

He's been back to his CAE preamp and VHT power for quite a while now. He's still using the CAE 1x12's with Vintage 30's. The info on his website as far as the rack stuff is pretty much the same as he's using now even though the gear portion of the site is old. There's a youtube video of him going through his pedal board on the last Toto tour. I know he's using Royers in conjunction with 57's for Mics.

When he was out here a few weeks back he was playing a rented JVM with a few pedals in front(providence). Quite often in Asia and Europe the backline is rented when he's out on his own or without Toto. Mostly rented Marshal half stacks from what I saw.

Here is a video from Japan last month with the rented backline setup:

From the man himself:

Hey guys
Well this Japanese cat just brought me some new pedals. PROVIDENCE is the brand name. REally cool compressor I plugged in, neat little chorus for the wide sound. I am just using stomp boxes and a rented Marshall JM 2000 and few thing son the floor. Nice tight clean sound. Works well with this band. You should check out these little boutique pedals. I am collecting all this shit now. Still Love Bob's stuff and all that but he is making me an all stomp box travel pedal board that is modular so I can put things in, change them out and it weighs 70 pounds so THAT is a big deal these days with freight a million fucking dollars and I work so much overseas it is just not coat effective to carry all the stuff anymore, and I am not really using much these days anyway.

Yup...major budget constraints don't allow him to ship his rig anymore unless it's for Toto dates over seas.

I think Steve just uses what's available for the most part when he travels, like you and gkinsingapore are saying. For a while during the 90s he used a Rivera Bonehead signature, but he had some falling out with Paul Rivera and switched back to CAE + VHT/Fryette. He also uses subwoofers, first from Rivera and now he has a signature sub with ISP I believe.

You've also seen the Bradshaw rig in this thread, ungodly! However, you catch him doing Guitar Techniques interviews and clips with his Luke guitar into a Pod or something like that, and it comes out sounding really similar; I bet his EMG signature pickup set has a lot to do with his sound. I think Richie Kotzen is a lot the same; he uses Cornfords, but when he jumps continents he rents Marshalls and ends up sounding a lot the same.

Hi guys

Luke has a TON of shit. He has two of the Bradshaw rigs that I know of (There may of course be others), one lives at CAE when not in use and the other lives in Japan. Then there is his "other stuff", and there is a bunch for him to choose from.

Luke is COOL

Recent studio footage shows a Bogner Twin Jet, 20th XTC and 20th Shiva.
