I’d go apeshit in his studio just going though all the one-off/protoype JEMs and UVs. Glad his current tech is also a Vai nerd and seems to have the same line of thought I do in regard to wanting to see those rare ones pop out every now and then as he’s been getting Vai to bring 1-2 out per tour since he joined. The mirror ball UV a couple tours ago, the DNA UV, an old Whitesnake era UV on the SatchVai Band tour as well as a protoype JEM with a natural wood finish I initially thought was an homage to his OG 70’s Strat he had when he joined Zappa.
And Vai likes stating that the red paint is entirely his blood when he shows off those DNA’s, but they would have had to of sucked him dry if they were going to put that much blood in the guitars. They just mixed his blood with the red paint for that run.
