Revisting this song for the new band...relearning it and it is so damn cool.
jeesh I wish he would go back to this melodic playing...has everything...phrasing..feel...tone. This is the george that made me pick up the guitar as a teenager!

 That was Lynch in his top form and the heyday of Dokken for sure. This was on a poppy metal side but there's a cool vibe about it that I always liked.

Great solo! Even though at the time I was more influenced by Malmsteen , Gilbert, and MacAlpine. When it came to more technical playing. It was Lynch who I was more influenced by, when it came to melody and phrasing.

When I was much younger I made a cassette tape of Lynch solo's that I thought were cool. Of course The Hunter was on there. In the end, the tape ended up being something like 40 minutes long! I only had 2 or the Dokken LP's back then too.

Cool solo...even better rhythm IMO
Yes. This. Not to knock the solo though, great phrasing overall on this track.

I started playing guitar after I heard eruption as a kid.
Then I heard into the fire after that George Lynch was my favorite !!
His vibrato and phrasing !!!

As far as Back for the attack my favorite solo is on cry of the gypsy !
I like all his solos back then though !!

No shame in loving great guitar work...melody, phrasing...love the whole thing.

ULaK and BftA ... simply stunning discs that I still listen to quite a bit.

Great solo. There are YT clips of John Norum doing a tasty version of this solo (and song) when he played with Dokken.

Yeah me too along with Randy and Schenker but it was lynches slippery phrasing that always fascinated me and I always tryed to cop when I was starting out...it was just too cool and unique. It showed up on a lot of my playing for other people when I was doing studio work for them...I listen back now and I laugh on me ripping off Georges feel :D

Love it!!
The Solo for "In My dreams" was always tops for me.
Actually used to know it. Got the tabs from GFPM. Even though I knew the notes....it still didnt have the 'lynch' vibe that George does. Again...thats why he is the man.

"Till the living end" was always my favorite lead from George. Just a really cool feel to it..he took over as my favorite after Randy Rhoads died. Went to see Kiss in '83 just to see George open up for Kiss..
