you got some neat toys....

This whole mod bus is a big joke. People think just because they made some minor tweaks to something that now theyre some amp god. Cascading the front of a marshall is as old as the hills. So is the post phase invertor master volume.

Cant wait to hear that thing in your set up. It had a very very good thump factor even when using all the gain. The push pull is just icing on the cake.

It does thump!!! I kicked in the MXR eq and it got a lot thicker sounding/"Thumpier". I can't Crank it at home, unfortunately-- but can load it down w/ my hotplate and run stereo at home while pumping the "Dry" signal into the stereo "wet" cabs. I will mess with this later on tonight. Today, I'm taking the amp to the shop w/ me and swapping out the preamp tubes. I might actually get some work done today, but I am okay with getting the amp in Top form instead.

guys, it has been totally misunderstood.
i am a good guy who made a mistake in my business dealing with two customers. since that whole ordeal i have had and still have many clients that are totally happy with me. before and after all of that BS.

i have made good with the two clients delivering amps that they love. i agree it took way to long, but live and learn... and i have, believe me. if it were ever perceived that i had any other intention than that then that perception was wrong.

if anyone wants to find out whats up they should talk to me. i am and will continue modifying and building amps.

i apologize if i fell into the drama of it all as it has felt as though i was being attacked.

sincerely,

Mark

Hi Mark,

What did I misunderstand here? :dunno: I mean other than you talking about comparing you and your mod to Tesla, and Jerry to Edison...

I thought I clarified what it appeared YOU misunderstood. It appears I wasn't successful, and/or you have a different agenda now/then. :checkthisout:

Well???

You guys actually think Jerry Dyer is cool for basically instigating and perpetuating negativity toward another amp builder?

call it my own? regardless of any spec its all of the hard work that lead me to what i call Mod5. if that meant changing one resistor in a plexi spec and it ended up to where people went thats it!....can you do that for me?.... then thats it.

its utterly amazing to me how people want to jump on the bandwagon as well and just bash away. i have to deal with whats mine and i am doing so and making it right.

for people to jump in with only half the information is beyond me. for people to make assumptions with only half the information is beyond me.

For the record, Jerry has NEVER said anything to me, which I considered to be, "basically instigating and perpetuating negativity toward another amp builder".

Yet, here you are making assumptions with not even half of the information, basically instigating and perpetuating negativity toward another amp builder.

its interesting, and if you know the history, Jerry once said to me, "Your the Nicolai Tesla of the 21st century."

That seems like a nice thing to say, though I don't think that you coming up with a mere amp tweak-- puts you anywhere near the same galaxy as Nicolai Tesla's relevance.

rockstah":2krc29eh said:
I guess that would make him the Thomas Edison of the 21rst century?

Jealousy and greed sure are ugly.

On this we agree, but having fully disclosed to you what I did via PM-- this is a curious comment.

i did nothing but get myself in a financial bind that i am out of now and if you guys cant see that what hes doing is beyond that then thats just what you choose to see.

Its interesting looking at that picture that he doesn't even have the spec completely correct. so hes willing to take money from people claiming its mod5.

The following is interesting to me

rockstah":2krc29eh said:
did i work on your amp or did someone else put Mod5 in it?
Mark

"You" seem to indicate that the Mod5 WAS put in it.... So... if NOT, what gives?

IF that pic is the final pic of the modded circuit (It's not) and it's not your spec Mod5, and he decides to call it a Mod6, what the hell are you sniveling about?

rockstah":2krc29eh said:
i wonder how much this guy has actually done towards me and others. bizarre.

Mark

No more than anyone else who will mod any amp to any given available spec-- I would think.

Yup and for the record, he (Speaking about you Mark) was bummed at me me for saying I would tell people who were begging for their amps and money back when he was unresponsive how to do the mod. Which he really shouldn't care about since there still exists a thread on metro that spells it out EXACTLY. Someone also posted gut shots of one here when trying to sell it. I never saw a thread on metro with schems and layouts. Finally, I never copied that mod in an amp for myself or performed it for others. I have shared exactly what the mod is though... I see no harm in that since it is public record to this day on metro...

As far as I'm concerned-- This modded amp is a ZSP M11.

you see, that's how a guy in business should end it, no temper tantrums, no name calling, over-using the internet and looking like an ass, it's over, done. Mark made a mistake and is trying to be good now, he made those two fully grown men happy in the end.

thank you for that! i really appreciate it!

sounds good. Got any clips without all the reverb, etc?

i have one that shows the same circuit in a different application.

i had someone ask me "can it do heavy stuff too?" so i sent him this clip.- same spec
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=503988&songID=9047216

p.s. the verb on the previous clip was added in protools. d-verb plugin with 250ms of predelay and set to taste as far as wet and dry goes.
