Just got an email with my invoice from Dave indicating that my 75 marshall jmp 1987 will be completed and shipped out sometime this week! I really dig what I have heard of Daves work. I think the final straw was hearing the clips of Lugo's 71 modded marshall that made me pull the trigger and send my amp out. I hope mine comes out sounding the same as his. I went with the K.S. with fat and sat switches along with footswitchable dual masters and gains, along with having the amp retubed and switched over to el34 from the stock 6550. I have owned many amps but love modded marshalls. I currently have a Bray modded super lead and an orange rockerverb, bogner duende, marshall 1974x, etc, but plan on using the Freidman modded marshall as my main gigging amp which is why I had the dual masters added. Cant wait!!

After hearing the Friedman, the Bray will be up for sale in no time.

I got mine a couple days ago, and Dave nailed it to the wall on this one. BE/HBE/JBE/SAT/Loop. Super quiet and low noise floor and simple, traditional Marshall tone, lots of thick harmonics and bottom end. Very much different than the Cameron mods in tone. It will definitely work great on its own, or blended with my SLO. I stuck an NOS RFT in the input driver and an NOS Tung Sol in the HBE driver and fuck me it is sweet.

Clips of it and the SLO are coming. Busy with band practice and work lately and haven't got around to it.

This is what I want to hear. I hope that he nails it to the wall with mine also! I Had a cameron mod yrs ago and hope that the friedman supasses or is similiar to it. My cameron ripped but could get a bit noisy at higher gain levels. I took it to a tech and he decided to do me a favor and make it quiet without me asking, I was pissed as it changed the tone a bit. I didnt get the fx loop on this friedman mod and I hope i dont regret it. I Sent payment and am just waiting for final testing and tweaks, should be here soon!!

The way I like to run the Friedman is to run it on the JBE mod, HBE input with the gain around 9:00 and ride the MV up for maximum Marshall pain....

No noise whatsoever and no similarity to Mark's Aldrich or Ocean mods. Maybe a little with the HG Jose.
