About 40 of us are "group buying" .Strandberg* Bodens, both 6 and 7 string flavor. Due to this, Ola is hooking us up with free upgrades like a koa top, better payment options, etc...

Here is the link to join the FB group with specs, and the order form on the .S* site. If we get more guys, maybe they will drop the price more for us :D

Thinking seriously about getting a Masvidalien. I need the guitar to have a trem.

I hate the access on the masvidalien personally. But that's just me. :D

FYI. The action adjustment on the Strandberg bridges isn't very good. The string sits in the slot you need to turn to raise or lower the action so only 180 degree turns can be used. If the string height you want is a 1/2 turn between that youre screwed.

I haven't noticed an issue on the two OlaBergs I have owned, nor on the 5-6 USA ones I have played but ok.

Is the access on the Boden 6 better? I'm considering the Masvidalien because of the trem, but if the access is so bad, then I will probably go for a Boden.

Yeah the boden is much better. Kind of hard to tell, but because of the neck shape, how it connects, AND the middle part of the body, it's very awkward on the Masvidalien.

Hey there guys, had a few questions for anyone who has owned either an olaberg or a washberg. Do BKPs typically come on there as the custom slanted set or is it the unslanted set. What is the action like at the saddle? Is the string, saddle slightly recessed into the bridge/tuner assembly or does it sit a little higher than the tuner body? I know that the saddle area seems much less intrusive than say the ABM saddle but I just want to gauge what it will be like. Thanks for putting the run together.

The saddle is recessed a bit too, but SLIGHTLY higher, it is very comfy, low-profile and certainly less intrusive than the ABM fixed.. I believe they said that Bare Knuckle would be doing slanted pickups for this run!

Still thinking about choosing between a Boden and a Masvidalien. Just noticed today that the Varberg model can now be ordered thru the US Custon shop.
