I am getting a strange cycle hum when phantom powering my ground control pro with my herbert. It is only audible on gain channels and goes away when ground control pro is dissconnected. I tried my back up rolls midi buddy and the noise is still there? Any clues on what this may be?

Something might be wrong with the phantom power ground connection. Please forward the SN of your Herbert.

Jens

Never heard about the issue.

Where are You located ?

Best,
Peter

Hello, please do the following:

Check out the Voodoo Lab controller's manual (link below) and go to page 6 and enter into the SETUP mode on your controller. Read throughout all the choices in the SETUP (read from page 6 onwards) and TURN OFF anything you don't need (expression pedal, expander, system mix, etc).

Also on page 11, turn off the Sequencer option and the Midi Continuous Controller OFF .

Read everything and turn off whatever you don't need.

It might be that the buzzing derives from continuous Midi commands being exchanged between your controller and the Hagen's Midi chip.

Let's eliminate all the unnecessary communication and see what happens.

Yes, could you please take the chassis out of the shell and take pix of the midi jacks' wires to the back board (close up please) and more of a birds eye view of the circuit board's left half (when tone control knobs are facing you) where the midi chip is located.

Thanks,

Jens

Guy's, I can't thank you enough for your super fast response. I will be able to get you pics in a few days. I am not near my rig and will not be with my rig until the next few days. Thanks again and I will post the pics over the weekend.
