My current strap is 15 years old, extra long fasteners more than 10 yrs old.
All I ever did was buy extra fasteners for multiple guitars and use the same strap
Besides the fastener side scratching the clear coat on some guitars never had a problem with one failing...![]()

1. The nuts come lose every other month - Loctite them and they'll never come loose again.
2. The screws holding the strap pin work themselves out every oter 6 months - Put a small amount of grease in the pocket of the thing to eliminate the friction on the pin.
3. It's a pain to get the huge thing into the hole on some leather straps - Man up.
Still wondering if anyone's gotta invent something better.
