So after getting my VHT in it's new head shell that I made, and posted earlier, I had ZERO sound! Needless to say, I was crapping myself, because I just sent that thing to Fryette last Fall, and was thinking I screwed something up from removing and replacing it in the head shell too many times.

After six hours of replacing tubes, staring at the guts of the amp looking for a short, broken wire, anything, etc., (I even opened up my cab to check all the wires inside it), I found my problem.

Not one, not two, but THREE bad speaker cables.............................. WFT!!!!!!!!!!!!

All is well now, but I almost had "the big one," yesterday.

Do you mean in the cab, or from head to cab? If you mean head to cab, what's the odds of 3 bad? WOW.

Prolly, but I turned off the amp really fast each time, and Fryette transformers are super tough. They appear in perfect shape still. I didn't even blow a fuse FWIW.
