DUDE! Get the Badgerplex PRE instead for out front, PLEASE! Trust me on this, it is WAY better...Aristocat":8udcd3ec said:I'm just gonna take the plunge.
It sounds bitchin' and has everything I'd want in a delay pedal.
Gonna put a Clinch EP in front of this too.
I have two SDE 3000s. The El Cap is a different animal. It simulates a tap echo. Sounds and does very different stuff than a digital delay...metalmaniac93":2csssr02 said:I have the Roland SE3000 so there is not much out there that beats that for delays expect for the TC2290!!!

I use it in the switchable serial loop of the Hagen, no problem for me.

Anytime man. I just figured since I found a clip I forgot about that allows you to hear the El Cap in the exact solid state metro loop you will be using, I'd post it. I don't get anyone saying it doesn't sound good in a loop...Aristocat":1otolsnn said:sah5150":1otolsnn said:DUDE! Get the Badgerplex PRE instead for out front, PLEASE! Thanks for the in depth breakdown man!
Perfect starting point as well once I get the pedal.
I looked at the Badgerplex website but I can't find much info on the pedal. The one I viewed was the Badgerplex Trinity. Is that a deviation from the one you used?
Thanks again Steve. Just killer stuff.

I have no experience with the Trinity, but it looks like the latest of the Badgerplex Pre that I have. Just for the record, here is the one I use. It is really killer. Adds that chimey boost that an Echoplex does:

Yeah I'm loving it.
I won't be getting the Cap until Christmas time. Have to pay for our vacation and last semester of College for now. Glad I settled on this pedal a while back and it's great to hear that guys still love it years later.
If you don't mind my asking, how much was the Badgerplex pedal? I didn't pricing of any sort on the website.
