My band is in the studio today, recording our second ep. I also happened to receive the Randall Satan before I walked out the door, so I parked it up, too. First impressions, very modern sounding, super tight with a nice upper middle snarl, lots of note definitely. Pretty dry, kind of has a vht thing going on but a little easier to play. I'll post more as the day goes on, but here's a couple quick pictures.

More like the Deliverance or Pittbull ?

Sound or feel ?

Deliverance with the 2 different gains that kind of control the thickness and feel.

Here's a little sample, can't really record the amp in the room right now because I'm doin scratch tracks, but this is blended with a Splawn quick rod. Both v30 loaded mesa cabs.

The part towards the middle of the song where everything cuts and I come in with the single guitar triplets is the Satan by itself.

Spent a little time with the amp at home last night, only had about 30 minutes or so to mess with it. It definitely seems to come alive with volume, which I wasn't able to give it much of, but still got some great sounds out of it. Definitely an extremely tight, articulate and modern sounding amp. The girth and grind controls add a lot of cool tone shaping options, and definitely lends it to sounding full in any tuning. The mids seem focused in the lower mid spectrum for the most part, I briefly plugged into the 50 watt 5150 III right after the Randall and it definitely seemed to have more upper mids going on in comparison.

Going to spend a bunch of time with it after work tonight, may post some clips in the room, but I do not have a proper recording setup so it won't be anything fancy.

Not really related to the Satan, but our drummer threw together a "highlight" reel from the weekend in the studio featuring some actual clips of the songs we recorded.
