Well it's been nearly 3 months since we arrived in North Carolina. Getting the studio finished off has been fun and a great learning experience. I've worked through getting the monitoring and room treatment ironed out, that was probably the most challenging part. I feel really great about working in the room now, it actually sounds better then my LA room. much tighter and more revealing. I traded out some gear that I wasn't using for some stuff I will be, so I have pretty much everything I ever dreamed of using to make music. It's been a blast doing the mixing online with Source-Live, really cool, I'm mixing a record from Malaysia right now. Crazy.

Anyway, 2011 was a hell of a year, looking for 2012 to be better. I give you Hemispheres Recording Raleigh style!

how are things out there?

There good. It's been an adjustment, I'd been in LA for most of my adult life and really fit in to the scene. Raleigh is a totally different trip but the people have been cool. I love being around my family more, that's a big part of my life now.

Thanks guys.

A couple of other pics. There's a few others that are being touched up:

Looks like the bridge of the freakin Enterprise. Awesome James, just unreal. That's a real clean setup and one badass man cave. Hope the tunes you make in there lives up to your dreams.

Half way through the vid now, outstanding looking studio, congrats and good luck!

That looks great! Anything that you changed the second time around?

Mad respect for picking up and moving, but then moving a studio of this magnitude and quality on top of it and still juggling the real life? You're amazing dude, well done. Cant wait to hang out/meet you face to face

The set up is beautiful and looks well balanced.

If you ever have free time for drinks hit me up, i'm constantly downtown for dinner. Raleigh may be lacking many things but good food and people aren't among them.

Cheers!
