Stumbled across this killer Suhr

My next Suhr is finally being built in April. We'll see how it turns out. Paid monstrous money for it

Prices sure are getting nuts. TA just raised his prices. Saw a post on another forum that Suhr is offering a 24 fret tele like Andy Woods. Says the MSRP is $4280.00. I believe MSRP=30% off of list. Ridiculous price for a swamp ash body with regular roasted neck and a satin finish.

My first should start its build in June. Not quite as insane a price, not going to be anything eye-candy, but I'm hoping it'll have the stuff.

Seen what Fender is getting for a CS lately? Wildwood "10's" start at $4K. I hate to say it, but Suhrs appear to be somewhat underpriced compared to their main competition. I hate to say it because right now they are at the very edge of what I'm willing to open my wallet for...

stunning guitar..every time I walk through the Suhr warehouse each guitar is more stunning then the next haha, you definitely get what you pay for!

And there it is. If i'm going to pay lots or money i think Suhr will build the best guitar.

Looks great. Price is insanely high, but I'll admit i've never seen Burl maple or a Trans Denim finish, sounds expensive.

that price is ridiculous.

There is no doubt in my mind that Shur guitars are just sick guitars...

I had a really top shelf Suhr modern last summer I paid 4k for .... it was a ridiculous guitar, but ya what he said about the price.

I have had $6k Gibson Custom shops and $8k PRS Modern Eagels and all that jazz years back and they came and went...

Today my main guitars are a $700 USA Fender hardtail strat from the 90's I bought brand new back then and a $800 Charvel USA pro-mod I bought new in 2011 on clearance...

With small tweeks and pickups, they both have tone and playability for days.

Out of the 2 dozen Les Pauls (custom shops included) I have bought and paid out the ass for, the best one by far was used 1998 Les Paul studio I paid $650 for in 2003... No lie.

I played that guitar at rehearsal and live in the nasty south florida humidity for a what seemed like ages until it just wore out.

The nut finally got totally jacked up from a nice collision with a mic stand at a gig... It was a tone beast and played like a dream. I should have just kept it and sent to a good luthier for re-fret and all that...

There has been 2-3 PRS's I had in the early to mid 2000's that I paid $1600 to $2200 for that were winners that hung out for a good while...

But I marvel at the fact the best guitars I have owned and loved, that have inspired me to some cool write riffs on and hit the stage with were not very expensive at all...

I just scored a KILLER Schecter USA custom shop and I don't even want to say what I paid for it... (after getting a discount).

By today standards I probably didn't pay enough for it to be considered a really cool guitar...

wait until someone buys it....sells is a month later for half of what they paid ;)

I agree that price point is a bit crazy but that is beautiful guitar ;)

I'm basing the ridiculous price on the 24 fret tele on the fact that I've never paid anywhere near $4K on any of the Suhrs I've had. Including the last one I got. It had a koa top I paid extra for, pau ferro neck and board , gold hardware, cocobolo cavity covers and genuine mahogany back. All upcharges. I see somebody has a Suhr standard for sale in the classifieds that he claims to have paid $5400.00 for. If he did he got raped. If you call around and find the right dealer you should be able to get near 40% off of list.
