Strymon Sunset. The BE-OD is solid too. I used it thru my Quilter Toneblock 201 sounded killer. I am selling my Quilter soon. Lack of use too many amps lol

Pussy Melter...

I almost bought it just because but then I heard the clips. Not my thing at all. Doesn't sound bad but I am not looking to cop those tones with this project.

Brutal, modern metal is what I am going for. I have obtained quite the list of pedals I was unaware of between here and TGP and asking around so I have a lot of listening to do. The Herbert pedal clips are blowing me away.

Where did you find clips of it?

I believe it was Steel Panther's Instagram. It did sound really good for that tone.

Got mine from Sweetwater.

Had the VH4 pedal, compared it with my MXR EVH5150 and returned it. It, BE-OD and MXR are so similar in my experience. I am very interested in checking out the Herbert, though.

This is what someone said on TGP. Tall order IMO to say this but:

Just got the Herbert pedal in and A/B'd it with my Herbert and it's damn close through the power amp of my KSR Juno, probably 95%. I still have to run it through the actual power amp of the Hebert, my guess is it will be 99% of the way there, it even cleans up well. It's taking the sting out of having to sell my Herbert.

The Friedman BE-OD is also great. Hit it with a mid boost and itlli do brutal just fine. Doesn't really sound like the amp to me but it sounds damn good.

I was going to suggest one of the old Damage Control pedals, the Solid Metal was amazing. Very underrated DS pedal, I think they didn't get much love because they took up too much space on pedalboards.

Their Liquid Blues is another awesome OD/DS pedal, I have one and it sounds amazing pushing a distorted amp.
