Suggestions for a NON BRITISH sounding high gain head?

The more I think about it, the more I reckon I'll be going back to a Mesa Mark for this.
I'm researching away, trying to find out any other amps that are not based on Marshalls, or the old Fender Tweed design, and the Marks (Blackface design) seem to be about it.
The Fryettes, KSR's, Diezels, Recto's/5150's/EVH's etc... and Tremo's etc... are all at their hear tweaked Marshall designs,which is great, but if I want something from the other side of the table, then what else is there apart from Marks???

Again. PRS Archon has its own thing going on. Owned all the ones mentioned.
Still have the Archon.
You can pick them up used pretty decent.

Dan have you tried any KSR ? I think that is the only one I have not played on mentioned.

I definitely want to spend more time with a Archon.

Mesa Tremoverb. BOOM. Nice cleans, great red channel. Good enough for Jeff Buckley, Lindsey Buckingham, Soundgarden, Incubus, etc...

And it do brootz with a boost.

I've been wanting a Tremoverb combo for the longest time,nice to know it can get heavy while having nice cleans which I will never use !

I've played an Archon once - total beast of an amp, but it sounded to closer to the SLO than I remember my old Mesa MKIII and MKIV.
I might swing past my local guitar shop and try the Archon again.

Yep. More SLO/Recto than MKIII or MKIV. Very cool sound, and different for sure. I’ve got the Gemini and several Marks.
