Well, B-Rad will be happy... A Sheevs and a Goldie. Fuck, whattaway to blow some bucks

Will keep you posted, but thanks for the lead. Sounds like it could have some substance.

Meantime, avagoodone

The Budda Superdrive 30 is one of my favorite heads. Both channels are great, and the crunch kills!

Thanks for this - what year is yours if you don't mind me asking, and what speakers you using?

Peace,
Mo

I have a Budda SD45 and it's KILLER.
It was originally a 2x12 combo but I bought a Budda head cab and turned it into a head.
I didn't care for the Budda Phat Speakers.
I run the head thru my Avatar 2x12 cab with CL80s.
Killer tones.

So, might be doing some buying.

I've been horny for the 20th Sheevs for some time, and this will more than likely get purchased. That or the regular Sheevs, not yet decided.

But what can the masses tell me about the Badger? Or the SL68? Or Budda's offerings? Any Budda love?

Thanks Folks,
Mo

Kinda surprised the SL68 hasn't been talked about in this thread yet. I'd point to Pete Thorn for an expert opinion on that amp. It always sounds great in his vids. I think he used it on his Guitar Nerd album too (which is EXCELLENT by the way)

Paging Mr. Thorn . . .

I have a Budda SD80. Don't be afraid of the volume. It's manageable, it just comes on all in the first quater of the dial that's all. It'll work fine in a band situation, less at bedroom volumes. Don't judge between the 45 and 80 on volume, judge it by the tones you want and the tube array (also SS rectifier vs tube) they offer. Never palyed a 45 but I imagine the tonal differences between them would be subtle at best, but still quite different than the 18 or 30.

Great head for single coil gain tones IMO.

Crap... I've felt myself gassing for another Shiva for a while now (had a newer EL34 head with verb and boost last year) and now this thread threatens to make it full-blown. Guess I'll have to put it on the short list once I'm done paying for my Engl Powerball 2 (GOT to have it because I recently joined a modern metal band and as awesome as the Shiva is... it doesn't do tight, compressed modern metal like the Engl does).
