they just sound more like what I'm used to.... I think the common lore is the block saddles have more fundamental, and the vintage type saddles have more overtones and are sort of warmer, maybe less "direct" sounding and more "spread out" (geez what the hell am i talking about?)
Anyways, they just sound right to me. The blocks are more "clinical" or "sterile" maybe is what I'm hearing.
