I am considering a Suhr Custom Modern guitar. I have read that some people do not like the neck. I was also curious to know how they fair holding their value for resale?

I assume you are talking about the standard production modern elliptical 1.650 nut w .800 - .850 profile? If so, I find it a bit small for my hands, but its not a deal breaker either. I usually wear a large or xl glove size and am used to a 1-11/16 nut and a pretty thick profile (.87-.93). But if you forget specs for a minute and just go off feel, the neck is still comfortable and easy to play. For leads its pretty amazing feeling, for chords on the first 3 or 4 frets is where I feel its a little smaller than I'd ultimaty prefer, but again its not so small that it becomes difficult to play, I find it easy on the hand.

if you're worried about it, look for a used custom with a larger profile. I have always gotten my money back out of every suhr I've ever owned but I've never bought one new...

Neck always felt comfortable to me, nice playing guitar.

As for resale, if you buy used then you can probably sell it for what you paid unless you damage it. They hold value well.
If you buy new, like 99.9% of anything else, you will take a hit on the resale.

Thanks for the input.

It's a brand new Suhr Custom Modern, 6 string. 1.650 nut with .800 -.850 neck.
