Saw this on Reverb and thought it was interesting:

https://reverb.com/item/5719712-marshal ... ead-w-mods

The seller doesn't have any documentation from Suhr (I asked), but the depth and negative-feedback knobs on the back do seem in line with some of his more well-known Marshall mods.

I couldn't find any reference to Suhr DSL mods online, but that doesn't necessarily mean the amp isn't legit.

Thoughts?

-never had a SUHR modded Marshall, but most of the other, USUAL SUSPECTS,.. wasn't it Suhr, that had the pre-made, small PCB's as part of his typical Marshall mod's?

I'm not sure. I e-mailed Suhr, and they said they'd check with John and get back to me. Assuming they do, I'll post the info.

I'm thinking John would have signed the board, or somewhere on the inside.

From Jacob at Suhr:

I sent John the link to the amp. He said he may have done it in the '90s. Without seeing the inside of the amp, he can't say for sure though. He doesn't remember modding a DSL, but he may have.

If you get some pictures, just send them our way and I'll show John.

So, a definite maybe. I'm almost inclined to buy the amp anyway, but the price is a bit high for a (cosmetically) slightly rough DSL that may or may not have been modded by a reputable pro.

-just checked it out, it looks newer than the 90's,

-I liked the, "no foot switch, but does come with a power cord!". WTF!! is this what we've become!!! " ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!!!.. only a dollar"
