Suhr Modern - Carve Top or Non Carve?

I just realized there are two different versions of the body style...

What is the skinny on this... I have been trying to search on the carve top vs. non Care Top but came up empty handed..

I personally prefer the look of the non carve top. For the extra cash I'd go with a set neck vs. the carve top, unless you have the cash to do both and you like the look of the carve top. I'm not sure what tonal benefits you'd get from a carve top, if any, but I know a set neck can do wonders for sustain

Honestly not sure. I see way more regular moderns but that's also, I'm sure, due to the price point of getting a carved top. If price weren't an issue I'm sure it'd be pretty equal between the carved top moderns and regular ones but we'd be seeing waaaayyyyy more set necks if it didn't cost an arm and a leg to get that upgrade.

I didn't think it was worth the extra charge for the carved top or a set neck. Plus, I like the blower switch a lot and you can't get one with the carved top.

Plus, I like the blower switch a lot and you can't get one with the carved top.

They may not do it in the regular spot due to top thickness or flatness, but I have seen blower switches or the (bridge pickup hardwired) set up with a push pull pot.
