This guitar showed up at my door over a week ago and Jay at Matt's Music took great care of the order. I had been hoping Suhr would do another round of neon drips and jumped to grab one. No pedal this time around just the guitar which is fine. As usual Suhr continues to make me happy and my review is simply I have no complaints.

Anybody know what kind of animal John Suhr butchered for the case lol?

That guitar is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Looks incredible...how's the under blacklight???? \m/

Rosewood or Ebony on the board?

I know I'm in the minority, but I've owned a couple Suhrs and been thoroughly let down for all the hype they get. But every time I see a neon drip it makes me consider giving them one more shot.

The board is ebony. I had a choice between that or maple and as much as I enjoy maple boards this guitar just begs for ebony. Haven't seen it under a blacklight yet.

I love paint like that!!

This caught me off guard. It's very hard to see in the pics but some of the drip is actually silver which appears white in photos probably because of the flash. You might be able see silver if you look hard at the first pic you'll notice the white line running through the 5-way pickup switch is really silver. The more you look at the guitar the more color you find. It also has a mini push button kill switch just beneath and forward of the volume nob that I love to use.

This pic might make it easier.

Anybody see the Suhr MKII White Tigers?

I just got a guitar 2 weeks ago & have one on the way.

After seeing your Neon drip, I HAVE to get one.

Damn you!!!!

I love the look of these with Maple too...but I would've totally gone Ebony as well. \m/

I love them, but wish they offered a 1.687 nut width without going custom.

Looks awesome, i had a neon drip a few yrs ago but this one looks better than the one i had.

killer. I wish mine had a kill switch.

I never really liked the standard kill switch's because that lever you have to play with is weak and can break off especially if you are playing live you might use it rather aggressively. The mini push button is cool since it is very small and you can simply tap out the kill like Morse Code.

Yeah these have 1.60 on the neck nut. 80's shred to the fullest I guess. I haven't met anybody who went with a neon drip custom but to my understanding Suhr needs to approve of the paint scheme first. The original neon drips and the MKII's have their own paint schemes and there were only 25 released I think for the MKII's. Rumor is Suhr only did a MKII because of popular demand.

Somebody did a neon drip frost if memory serves and it was a beautiful guitar. I wouldn't necessarily rule out custom.

If you guys are looking for a neon drip Suhr is slowly releasing them right now. I'd hit up some stores and place a down payment on 1 or buy one outright. You won't have to wait long.
