Im in the process of purchasing 2 amps, being one a Friedmann Marsha that I already have on order. Which of the following would complement the Marsha best:

Suhr PT 100
Cameron CCV
Bogner XTC

Im building a small studio at home and will be having two amps with their respective cabs, an Ax FX Ultra and several guitars (2 Suhrs, 2 Tom Andersons, 1 Charvel, 1 Warmoth built Les Paul Custom Floyd Type guitar and 1 Godin nylon string). I mainly play 80's hard rock, hair metal, shred type music. I have also read several reviews on these 3 amps, and the more I read and listen to videos on youtube, the more I get confused on which one should I get. Keep in mind that this amps will only he used at home in my studio.

Any feedback you guys can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Funny you posted this at this time.
I've owned all 3 of the amps you have
in question. I don't think you can go wrong
with any one of those, I personally think
any one will get the job done! It will boil
down to a matter of personal taste.
I absolutely loved my Bogner XTC 101b,
just haven't revisited it again. Just sold my
CCV to recover a few bucks. Fantastic Amp
but I used some of the money and picked up
a PT-100. The Custom Audio/Suhr Gear has
the sound and voicing that is the closest to the
sound in my head.

I would recommend the PT-100 but I Honestly
think you couldn't go wrong with a CCV
or XTC 101b either!!

I would look at others, maybe the XTC could stay in the list but the CCV is a modded marshall and the PT-100 has marshall in it as well. I would go with a more modern sounding amp myself, maybe a good old recto or Diezel.

C'mon Rick. What do you really want to tell us Your eloquence.

Thanks for all the feedback. I think the decision is between the Cameron and the PT 100. I wonder how similar could they get to the Marsha.

Well if you are stuck with what you have posted then PT-100.

I thought about the Suhr OD 100 SE+, but form what I've heard and read, apparently it is more modern/hi-fi sounding.

Tough choice. I own a Marsha and XTC. I'm trying to think what would compliment the Marsha best. For Metal I'd say Cameron, for versatility I'd say Bogner.

Steve K should weigh in on this one..  I'm still trying to figure that one out myself. I hope to try all out next week...including Rhodes and Carol Ann. Between NAMM, Tone Merchants, and the Amp show at the Ayers Motel in Anaheim. The happiest amp I owned was a Bogner 100B I sold years ago with the variac. Alot of regret on that one.

I don't have any experience with the amps you listed, but I do own a Marsha and Cameron Aldrich '78 JMP and both of those work great together!! You might keep your eyes open for one.

CCV is going to be too similar to the Marsha.
I say go for a Diezel VH4 and get the mids all the other amps wish they had..

I will chime in, because it is getting pretty boring here, and I am sitting in a hotel bar in Dubai chugging Corona...... :D

The Marsha and PT100 are tame next to a CCV. An XTC is sort of like scotch whiskey and is an acquired taste. If you want heavier, which it sounds like you do, go for the CCV.
