well, I don't think the Friedman was for me(though we shall see) and decided I wanted to try a few other amps, why not right
Im thinking either the PT100 or OD100se+. Im hoping some of the guys who have owned or played them will chime in. I mainly want to know if the master on these is as good as the Friedman. I was only able to open up the Friedman on the weekends so during the week its "bedroom" volume. It sounded great at lower volumes. How are the suhr amps at this? Or did I make a mistake lol. The BE100 was great at that 80's metal but I am also looking for something that can get me a little more modern tones too.

Im also thinking that, but when I do decide to start playing with people it might be better to be prepared. So many different routes I could go. I have a NGD incoming on wedenesday and I won't have an amp to blast it through until atleast next week

you know, I like your style man lol. I guess I just want to be part of that elite amp crowd :D But,you're probably right here

Of course I haven't owned or played the sig model PT but the regular version has a good master volume but it really won't do any more modern/heavy tones than the BE. Just as any 100 watt tube head it always sounds best at volume. The cleans are better IMO but I hated the mid range of the gain channel(s).

PT100 sounds great at bedroom volumes.. and at venue/orgy volumes

I love amps and can afford the boutique stuff but everyone knows it's all bullshit
I can afford the stuff just not on your scale lol. Thats why I have to put a bit of thought into it. My $70k a year is beans compared to most of ya so I have to stretch the disposable. If you think the boutique stuff is bs I can take that Cameron CCV off your hands :D

Ok, it's not BS

Don't take my CCV

I think that all rockinchippy was trying to convey was that something like the 5150 could hang with those boutique heads. especially the stealth

Both options are great amps but I'm getting some sweet modern tones out of my be100.

I have a Macon od808 out front and an MXR 10 band in the loop. Using the EQ for just very slight voicing tweaks (like very very slight tweaks). Using the hbe mode without any of the switches on.

if those are the 2 you've narrowed it down to, the Friedman would be my choice right now...today, but I get bored with gear.
So tomorrow I'd want the PT100 :D

That's what happens with me...I'm slowly regretting selling the Friedman though

I owned both, started with the PT100...didn't get the most our of it living in a townhouse at the time. Sold it.

Got a BE100 - loved it, should have kept it. Now got a Goldfinger 90 on way again - I missed that amp bad.

Id definitely swear by my Friedman masters !!!
- the master on my shiva is great as well.
