The first time I ever went guitar shopping back in the mid 90's, there was this olympic white 60's hotrodded strat. It had a tinted flame maple neck, rosewood fretboard, pretty much identical to this except with single coil pickups and the Fender headstock. I wanted that guitar sooooo badly, but it was too expensive. FINALLY - I scored my dream Suhr.

I know this is very modest compared to all the nice, exotic and far more expensive Suhrs on Rig-Talk, but this is exactly the one I've always wanted. It was the flame maple neck that sealed the deal because it reminds me so much of that strat. Another bonus is the low noise system built in for the single coils. I love single coils but hate the hum, so this is a fantastic feature.

Man I kind of don't like these threads because it might sound like bragging or something, but there's a story behind this and it's just so damned exciting that I had to share it. These pics are borrowed (with permission) until it gets here and I can take my own.

It takes weeks to get all the parts for a new build, and several hours leveling/recrowning/dressing frets, soldering electronics, drilling, setting up action, etc... This time, I wanted something of equal quality to my builds without having to do all the work. Funny thing is that this kind of fell in my lap literally right when I was about the pull the trigger on a Varius. I still plan on getting a Varius though. Anyway, without further ado, here are some pics:

it seems... you finally f___ed the girl you've dreamed in your teenage.

cool~!!

Suhr's always play and sound so flawless but I can't get past that headstock, it makes the guitars cheap to me for some reason.

Smoking guitar. Right now I have a Classic 60's player strat in Sonic Blue that makes me want to have a Suhr that looks just like it. Olympic White would also be awesome. Nothing like a Suhr for me. Enjoy.

I made the Suhr plunge last year and love them. Great guitars.

This looks nice! I've always been curious about the Suhr's, but never pulled the trigger on one.

Ha ha, something like that.

I like this because it's just simple but has everything. I never see them with a wide neck. I wonder if they don't not offer it or nobody orders the them. I like 1 3/4 if I can get it

Funny thing because until you mentioned it, I realize that I've never heard of a wide neck option for Suhrs. Is it a hand thing or is there some kind of advantage to it?

I just like the wide necks. I have big hands and they are just more comfortable to me. That's why I love Charvel so much. Mine are wide like kamikazes

Congrats! I have a white HSS Classic Pro myself. Killer guitars. Enjoy it!
