Super Strat vs. SG?

Love my SG standard, but I don't play it as much as my other guitars.

I just can't stand the 1 and a quarter inch thick heel on Fender/Charvel guitars!! My Wolfgangs, Ibanez, Musicman Axis guitars are just way easier to play from the 17th to 22nd(or 24th) frets.

I actually own 3 USA So Cals( Red, White, Purple) & 1 USA San Dimas(Baby Blue), but I'm probably gonna sell 'em on Ebay.
I'll buy other Charvels(love the necks!), but I'll go the custom route & "demand" a super extra extra reduced sloped heel!! lol

Bytor, why not take one to a local luthier and have them contour the heel?

Yeah I've thought of that. I guess I think they will bastardize it!

I suppose it's worth a shot. They literally just never really get played because of this.

I love to look on them though!

I much prefer an SG anyday.

I have no care whatsoever for SuperStrats.

I love SGs. I am pretty much a Gibson convert these days with my LP and SGs leading the pack. I have 2 SGs a rare '90 or '91 Candy Apple Red '62 reissue and a '90 Standard. They are both awesome and are stock. I would say the Candy Apple is in between the LPC and the SG Standard in terms of tone, and the Standard is just very light and vibrant. That guitar is just fucking alive. It has a different kind of resonance as my 335, of course, but it is alive just the same. I would get rid of all my strats and super strats before either of the SGs or Gibsons for that matter at this point. That said, I would guess Kage would pick some of my strats over my Gibsons, or even my Tele, so you need to choose what works for you and not ask random people on the internet...lol.
