Sure SM7B top?

Hello everyone, I have been working at Da Vinci for 3 months now, now I want to start making my own content, https://theguruchoice.com/audio-equipment/best-microphone-for-voice-over/ then I saw the Sure SM7B microphone and remembered that many people talk about it. What can you tell us about him? is he as good as they say about him? Is it a good start? And what amplifier would you recommend for him?

The sm7 is an amazing microphone for many applications, definitely a goto for voiceover

He is transparent, which is the best thing you could say about a mic.

Great for voice-over, great for guitar, great for tom, snare etc. It's classic for good reason. Not that transparent but with a upper-mid presence that make things get out of the mix just like a sm57 but with a better bass response and smoother pattern. Close to SM57 nonetheless.

It’s a classic vocal mic and my favorite guitar mic.

Get a Cloud Lifter for it. Makes it come to life. Its so good on hi hats.

I haven't used mine much since I got it. I'm going to try it out on vocals real soon. I got it because it's supposed to be good for everything, but I just haven't worked it into the mix yet. Next time I record a real guitar rig, it'll get used, but this round is a Helix.

It did record kazoo really well.

I know quite a few producers on the metal side thay use the sm7b for just about every record they do for vocals, period. You should be fine.

Good mic. Just make sure you've got a good, clean preamp with plenty of gain on tap.
